Randy Coffey Joins XPEL!

Randy Coffey has joined the XPEL sales team as a Territory Manager for the East Coast ( VA, NC, DC, and most of MD), reporting to Alexander Chryst. With 35 years of experience as a business owner and PPF installer, Randy brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. He established his Auto Detailing business in Virginia at the age of 18 and expanded it to include multiple locations and a dedicated team. Recognizing the industry's changing dynamics, Randy shifted his focus to paint protection and acquired certifications in various related areas. Throughout his career, he has built lasting relationships with employees and customers. Now, as part of the XPEL team, Randy looks forward to sharing his knowledge and establishing new connections that will contribute to the company's continued success. XPEL is excited to have Randy as part of the XPEL family!

Hello, my name is Randy Coffey. Just like the quote from the movie The Green Mile, "Yes, sir boss. Like the drink, only not spelt the same," I have 35 years of experience as a business owner and 18 years as a PPF installer. I established my Auto Detailing business in Virginia in 1987 at the age of 18. In 1994, I left my full-time job to focus solely on my business, which grew to include 21 employees, 7 mobile detailing units, and 2 fixed locations. We detailed nearly 8,000 cars a year. In 2006, I expanded my business by opening another Detailing location in Phoenix, AZ, while still managing the Virginia-based company. The industry underwent changes after the Housing crisis in 2011, leading me to shift the focus of my business from cleaning and detailing to Paint Protection.

Throughout my career, I have pursued training and certifications to stay updated with emerging industry skills. I have gained expertise in minor Paint and Body work, Paintless Dent Removal (PDR), Paint Correction, Window Tint, Ceramic Coating, and my forte, Paint Protection Film. Leading by example has been a core work ethic that I have maintained.

I started my association with XPEL in 2005 when I attended a PPF training class. Over the years, I have been impressed by XPEL's dedication to their retail customers and the support they provide to their installers, which has contributed to the significant growth of my business. I have competed for XPEL's Virginia Dealer of the Year award multiple times.

As a business owner, I have always enjoyed building relationships with employees and customers, some of which have lasted for almost 30 years. As I embark on a new chapter in my life, I am excited to share my extensive experience with other small business owners and establish new long-lasting relationships.
